What am I up to??

This is a question that I get asked quite a bit by those of you who know how excited I get about new ideas.
So I have decided to share some news regarding some of the newest little creations that I have been putting together and testing over the past year. I absolutely  love them but my favorite thing is always the response I get. My most favorite has been the response from my daughter. Whenever I say "You've got to try this!! I get the inevitable eye-roll (she's a teen-lol) and the sigh followed by a puzzled look as I cover her face in my newest obsession. LOL. Despite the flair for the dramatic, I know that she is excited by the whole process and within the time it takes to finish the process she has found another little gem she can't live without. I love it!! The newest one has been the Unmask Your Beauty facial mask.
My favorites- The Banishing Elixir (it's weird but I cant get enough of it) the Thyme in a Bottle (bath) and the most recent is my "uniquely you" facial blend (as yet unnamed). The results from the facial blend have been kind of insane! I've been inspired ,by this little product,  to take up Aesthetics. I can't believe that I'm actually going back to school. Of course there are a lot of other little things in the works, as well.
Hope this has given some insight into what I am  up to.

May you all have a Beyond Beautiful day!

Blogging, organic skincare and the learning curve...2

I love creating new and interesting possibilites. My passion for helping others has somehow led me to this path and I am so very grateful! I certainly wouldn't have guessed that what started out as a struggle to find answers to my illness, my struggle to survive, would heave led me here. But here I am.

It has not been an easy path but I know in my heart that it is the right one. What I have learned has been a blessing. These are the tools I have been given to learn from, to learn with and to share with others.

Writing is so intensely personal, and I realize that part of what has been "in the way" has been  fear. That little four letter word that creeps in at the most inopportune moments. Anne ( who is absolutely the most amazing support  team all on her own- not to mention the awesomest webdesigner on the planet Anne@redtoadmedia.net ) calls it the resistance (lol) and I absolutely love that because now, whenever I feel
that hesitation wanting to creep in, I recognize it as the resistance. It has a name ( which, incidently, always makes me smile as I picture my thoughts coming together in protest) that allows me to recognize it.

As females I feel we have all understood the pressure to "get it right". What I have since learned is that if not used properly- that self imposed pressure can lead to doubt, hesitation and inaction. It's really powerful to take a step back from that and realize that the choice is always ours.  To act or not act.

For that very reason- I have chosen to act. To create, to live, to laugh, to love and to share.

I am learning so much about (and from) amazing women who find the courage to live out loud.
Thank you- to all the women who inspire us all to take that next step.

Thank you to some of the amazing women who inspire me-
My mom- the courage and the strength that you embody has given me the strength and tenacity to chase my dreams.
Jennifer- you are an amazing and strong woman and watching that emerge is AWESOME!!
Nancy- yes, it is true I am a dork :) lol- and thank you for being the most amazing of friends!
Anne- my gosh- None of this would be if it wasnt for the possibility you see and encourage in me!
BobbieRose- BoobieP-Miriam B, Cassie Strom and Diane Hochman- who are some of the most inspiring women ever.
Lastly, but most certainly not the least- I'd like to thank my beautiful daughter Amanda. It is because of you that I am so inspired to make this world Beyond Beautiful! I love you.

You guys all create a picture that helps me to reach out to pursue my dreams!!

Blogging, organic skincare and the learning curve...

So here I sit trying to figure out the best way to share some of my thoughts and ideas with you all. :)
(Psst- little secret- I am a perfectionist.LOL. My brain always wants to figure it out). So what am I doing?
I am taking the advice of the amazing Anne@Redtoadmedia.net . She laughs at me as she explains that I don't have to get it right so long as I get it started. Guess what? She's right (she's always right).

There are a lot of little ideas that run through my mind during the course of the day and I wanted to find a way to share these thoughts, ideas and passions with others. It seems only natural that a blog would be the way to go right?

HERE GOES NOTHING...

                                                          “Better than Antibiotic”

                                                      Mouth care Recipe (Medicinal)

As a person who would rather use natural remedies- whenever
possible this is truly one of my favorite recipes.

Back when I had no health insurance and a particularly painful
abscess in my tooth, I gave this recipe a test run and the rest is
“herstory” (lol.) Not only did it ‘cure’ the problem- it did it quickly
(24 hours) and never came back.

This recipe truly showcases the magnificent power of herbs.

     What you will need:

7 green onions complete with bulbs (the white part on the bottom)

      7 star anise

      3 cups of water

1 drop of food grade hydrogen peroxide (optional)

     To prepare:

  •      Put 3 cups of water to boil, add 7 star anise and 7 bulbs from your green onions.
  •      Boil together until 3 cups have reduced to one cup.
  •      Strain to remove all but the infused water- add the drop of food grade hydrogen peroxide.
  •      Sip contents until you have finished entire cup.
Turns out it is amazing for any sort of infection you may have in
your mouth. It works quickly and easily- and you may repeat the
process after 4 hours if you wish!

I’m still amazed by this one
  • Star anise can be found at most grocery stores in the spice aisle.

Who We Are and What We Do

Beyond Beautiful Inc, is an Organic & Natural Skin Care Company based out of New York City, NY. The founder, Jacqueline Rios, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2003. As a result of her disease, she began to experience paralysis. The entire left side of her body was affected and the disease progressed quickly. When she began taking medication, she couldn't even move her head. Jacqueline then began a journey to overcome her disease using alternative medicine that led her to Chinese Natural Cures by Henry Lu. She focused on properties of food that affected her brain. By experimentation, Ms Rios was able to restore herself to full mobility. However her experience had begun a mission to share her knowledge with others and so her unique skin care line was born.
